Sheng Zhen = Love + Qi

Sheng Zhen translates as sacred truth, unconditional love, or open heart.

Sheng Zhen is a unique system of meditations that naturally open the heart.

Love and qi (pronounced “chee") are seen to be original, universal energies that are intertwined. As your heart opens through regular practice, love and qi flow easily, naturally. You settle into a state of ease, the peaceful state of feeling at one with yourself, with others, and with nature.

Qi is considered to be the life force that creates and sustains all living things.

Qi and love are intertwined, never separate. When we “gather qi," for example, we gather love, the strongest and best medicine.

Master Li Junfeng, the founder of the International Sheng Zhen Society, explains what Sheng Zhen is and what it can do for you.

Meditate while moving or in stillness. Meditate while standing, seated, or reclining.

Sheng Zhen Meditation is a practice, both ancient and new, that promotes overall well-being and inner harmony. It consists of 18 forms, or guided movements and positions, designed to help individuals achieve physical balance, mental clarity, and emotional serenity. These forms work to open up the body, allowing for a deeper connection to the natural energy of Heaven and Earth, as well as one's own soul and spiritual essence.

Sheng Zhen Meditation is an excellent way to reduce stress, improve posture, and increase vitality. Additionally, it can be beneficial for those looking for an accessible, yoga-like practice that does not involve uncomfortable poses or movements. Sheng Zhen Meditation can be practiced by both the young and old, as each form is relatively simple and gentle. Some of the practices are performed standing, while others are done sitting in a chair or lying down.

These moving and non-moving meditations are excellent ways to cultivate inner peace and experience true harmony in body, mind, and spirit. Most people find that a few minutes of Sheng Zhen each day can result in profound, positive changes to their health and overall well-being.

It is not necessary to learn all 18 forms. While each one has a different "flavor" or feeling, regular practice of just one or two forms is all you need!
